The Minister of Tourism received the Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Charge of affaires in the Omani Embassy to discuss the development of relations between the two countries

Eng. Beshr Yazji, Minister of Tourism welcomed Mr. Saeed Al Kiyoumi, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Khalid Bin Salim Al Saadi, Charge of Affaires at the Omani Embassy, to   discuss the development of relations between the two countries and investment opportunities in Syria and the expansion of the economic sphere through business tourism.
The minister stressed that the tourism sector is the most important means of rapprochement between the peoples and the gateway to other sectors, including business. He expressed the Ministry's readiness to provide all facilities to Omani businessmen and investors who wish to visit Syria and offer all attractive investments from the establishment of hotels, resorts and tourist cities in addition to special facilities for all visitors. For his part, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Oman said that the tourism sector is an important sector, especially that Syria is an important tourist country and in the past period tourists have been absent from it because of the war but gradually returning because this country contains historical and archaeological monuments, and there are many important shrines, sites, places and beautiful scenery pointing to the discussion of several things in terms of studying some of the projects that can be invested, especially that tourism is a promising sector and Omani businessmen consider it to be very important
